The Hazara Afghan minority ethnic group in Jaghori, Malistan and Urozgan have been subject to severe violent attacks by the Taliban, which has taken a total of hundreds of lives and displaced thousands of families. Local civilians in Jaghori have fought hard to defend their homes, but the Taliban has outnumbered them, and as of 13 November 2018, has taken over the main areas of Jaghori (including Anguri-Hotqol). The Hazaras have been constantly subject to violence from various groups for decades, and with these attacks, the suffering of Hazaras has hit a new low.
In response to these attacks, hundreds of Hazaras in Kabul held a night-long protest in front of the Arg presidential palace, the result of which was an explosion of a suicide bomber that took the life of six. The Afghan government has provided extremely limited support throughout this disastrous genocide.
Please sign this petition and become a voice for the fellow Hazaras to raise awareness to the United Nations and the Australian Government, so that this tragedy can gain their attention and act as a plea for an international response to the ongoing genocide of the Hazaras.
