About A thousand Syrian Refugees, Threatened Of Displacement…

Since the beginning of Syrian crisis, the Ouzaii Shelter in Saida- Lebanon south governate, it contained families who fled the bombing and destruction and took refuge to live in one room scaled of 5 meters a size in (Ouzaii Shelter), only to protect themselves from danger and sleep in peace. Around 200 families, men, women, children, and elderly people live in this Shelter, who are now threatened with displacement during quarantine of COVID19 and the lack of housing in Lebanon due to the explosion happened lately with the announcement of Beirut is A catastrophe city, and that's by the landlords ’demand through the judiciary to vacate the building to complete the constructional work to open the university on which the building was built for.

due to three years of work in close touch with people living in the shelter, we have got the chance to feel their hardship in life to know that their economic conditions are so low which do not allow them to afford the rent for a house or even a room to live in.

Forcing these families to leave their shelter in the light of current health conditions the spread of COVID-19-,   and the poor security conditions after the disastrous explosion in Beirut, and the poor economic conditions, without an alternative, especially that most of them do not work or do not have sufficient income, is a major crime will cause a basic human rights disaster which is,

LIVE IN SAFE PLACE.
