The 88-billion-peso budget of the country's Department of Health (DOH) in the 2020 spending bill decreased by Php 10.6 billion from its 2019 level of Php 98.6 billion. Meanwhile, according to World Health Organization (WHO), the Philippines ranked third worldwide with the highest incidence of measles. Hence, in the middle of the increasing number of health-related issues and casualties, there should even be greater funding for this department. Budget is more demanded as the need for national and collective health must be secured.

This petition is of great impact, for the country does not only need sufficient funding for education, military, and economy, but also for one great needs of our individuals—health. Cutting off 10 billion from its finances would not help our well-being's quandaries.
