Release Safoora Zargar M.Phil Student & Social Activist (3 Months Pregnant) from Prison.

The Issue

Safoora Zargar, a 27-year-old M.Phil. The student from Jamia is over three months pregnant and was arrested by the Delhi Police’s special cell on April 13th. During Pandemic, and National Lockdown, She was later denied bail and, on 21 April, charged under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). She was associated with the Jamia Coordination Committee (JCC) and was part of the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests organized by university students in December and January. She was arrested for allegedly leading the anti-CAA protest at Jaffrabad metro station in February.

Communal riots broke out in North East Delhi, The accusation is, and she is one of the organizers of the protest and has an alleged role in Riots.

The real culprits who incited the Delhi Violence are members of the ruling BJP Party. Hence, they are set scot-free.

Safoora is innocent and falsely implicated under the Draconian Law with a conspiracy to bury the protests demanding the repeal of the newly amended Citizenship Act. The Amended Act. It is totally based on Religion. Hence, it is undemocratic and unconstitutional.

Further, Derogatory remarks being used with regard to her pregnancy on social media.

The arrest is solely to suppress the Minorities in India, her arrest is illegal and in grave violation of Human Rights, As India is a founding member and signatory to Universal Deceleration of Human Rights, This World Body is having a Jurisdiction. Hence, We request and demand her release from prison, which will bring a ray of hope for Justice and protection of Democracy otherwise the Democracy is seriously under challenge by the extremist organization called RSS and ruling BJP Party under the guise of changing the Democratic Country into "Hindu Rashtra".
