If there's a leader who's brilliant enough to see beyond the parameters of ethnicity, then it's Nana Akufo-Addo. His choice for running mate was never based on ethnic orientation but rather the solution to the colossal challenges that he, acknowledged, would be waiting for him in the event of winning the Presidency. However, in finding all he needed in the person of the adroit Economist, Dr. M. Bawumia, his Mamprusi tribal allegiance, was an added plus. His CV carried the necessary weight to warrant the appointment, for he was solely responsible for the stabilisation of the Zimbabwean economy that was seeing daily 4 digit inflation. He taught economy at a university in the UK & was subsequently appointed as the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, where he was to shine even brighter after stabilising the Ghanaian economy. Now how could such a luminary be ignored for a lighter candidate. Nana, again, exhibited wisdom by setting the criteria for choice and that is how "TO BE A GHANAIAN"
