We refuse to accept the general suggestion that most African leaders are sadists; we refute the claims of foreigners in our lands that we are backward because we have inefficient leaders. We need to correct the image of Africans, for we have some of the most congenial people on earth; some of the most respectable to have ever walked our planet. It is not the external appearance of the African, which is habitually employed as the modus for determining his nature, that speaks of his pedigree but rather the care and diligence in maintaining his home and family; his adherence to principles of societal rule; his lack of will to thread into the dark for fear of losing the light of which he has learnt in his native village, somewhere in the forests, savannah, sahel or deserts, for the bosom of Africa has been the cradle of knowledge, culture and rich tradition.
