I would like to help seabirds and marine mammals from being killed by oil spills. This will help the sea creatures survive and not freeze because of oil on their skin or feathers. I would also like to help people that rely on fish for money so they will not face bankruptcy. This will also raise awareness and hopefully stop using as much oil to help the sea population. I think that if we don't stop using as much oil now, the rate of spills will go up and this will kill more animals. When a bird gets oil on its wings it loses the water repellency meaning that the bird can not hunt in the water or risk drowning. When a sea mammal becomes in contact with oil then it loses its insulation which means it will freeze and die. Oil is toxic so when a fish comes in contact with the fish die. Reasons to sign my petition:

• If I gather the correct amount of signatures I will tell the UN to make a law that means anyone who is being negligent on the job during an oil spill will be prosecuted
• I will try and help to stop using as much oil to protect the coral reefs
• I will inform others about why oil is important to use but very dangerous and that we can use other sources of energy
• This will help people who live on the coast and use fish to make a living
