Ebola is a terrible virus, that hemorrhages the body, mimics the Flu, and has a 50% lethality to all infected. Symptoms can take up to 21 days to show up, and people are only contagious while they're symptomatic. It has stricken many parts of West Africa, including Guinea, Nigeria, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. While the aid workers there do all they can, at the risk of their own lives, it is not fair that their tireless efforts be undermined by people allowed to travel with the possibility of infecting other large epicenters.
Cases have already been reported in Texas with up to 80 people possibly infected, as well as Hawaii. It's time to act and force the US Government, as well as many other countries' Governments to ground all flights in and out of Ebola infected countries, save for the proper personnel and aid workers. This is not something to take lightly, and we should do our part in spreading the word, maintaining safe hygiene and cleanliness, along with aiding the medical workers in infected regions with donations and support.
We have to step up to keep this deadly virus from spreading before it gets out of hand.
