The climate risk has absolutely no chance of being palliated lastingly without humanity returning to sustainable population levels all over the World. First, we present you a plea, in the form of 2 videos with explanatory illustrations, showing how:

• the advent of climate risk was compounded by a hundred-year-old demographic denial. By regulating demography over the last century, we could have easily stayed below the 1.5 degrees of warming by 2100, since the end of the pre-industrial era, as recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
• demography is underestimated because it is often reduced to its static (inertial) component that actually represents much less than the little-known “dynamic impact” of demography
• the creation of a UN body for demography, equivalent of the IPCC, potentially called IPD, would make it possible, by working in tandem with the IPCC, to propose a way out of the current crisis of our excesses (over-consumption-production, overcrowding) and of North-South inequalities.
