14th and 15th August 1947 saw the birth of two nations from India; Pakistan (translate Land of the pure) and Hindustan (translate Land of the Hindus). The original motherland which now also has Bangladesh (translate Land of Bengal) as its offspring is a name hijacked by Hindustan to represent it. This name belongs to the history of these three nations combined and is NOT the continuation of the legacy of India as portrayed by Hindustan. Like how Hindustan changed back the names of its cities names from British names back to its original names, so too should it cease to be called India on a global stage and be known by the name its founders chose for her at Independence and indeed the name used in its National Anthem. 

The use of the name India is to gain economically from the  goodwill of the name and also to create credibility and history by linking itself as the continuation of a history jointly shared with Pakistan and Bangladesh.

This petition asks for the world to address Hindustan as Hindustan. For Hindustan to cease using the name India similarly to how it changed the names of its major cities and the recognition that India is a subcontinent with 3 nations who can claim a right on its history and not just Hindustan.
