Unite4Justice, Freedom4Feazell!! Together WE Stand, Together WE Empower!!

The Issue

The community and family of Doneale L. Feazell come together and unite for the freedom of Doneale Feazell. He has been incarcerated for 30+ years, since the tender age of 18, in the Nevada Dept. of Corrections. Doneale Feazell will be 49 on October 15, 2023. Our plea is not to retry him based on innocence or guilt, but to commute his sentence to one that will declare his time served and set him free. Currently he is serving a double-life term, without the possibility of parole, after being relieved of a death sentence, serving 15 years on death row. Despite the decision of the United States Supreme Court declaring that the adolescent brain remains undeveloped until 25 years of age, not being wholly responsible or cognizant of the consequences of his or her actions. And as such, a person shall not be held any longer than 20 years before given the opportunity to be held accountable and released. Doneale was convicted and sentenced for a murder and attempted robbery by 12 white older jurors, not of his peers, based on the sole testiomony of an individual with multiple conflicting statements.

In the interest of justice and fairness Doneale has served his time. Across the nation many are being released after serving 20 years or more for crimes charged with or committed under the age of 25, based on the United States Supreme Courts ruling. Further, we often witnessed others serving less time than Doneale for similiar or greater offenses. Doneale is nearly 50 years of age, and has grown, matured, and educated himself far beyond the child he was 30 years ago. Doneale, his famiy, community, and society at large will be better served by his release. On behalf of his family and community, we are asking locally and nationally, for the unity of the community, to fight for the freedom of Doneale.

I'm writing this because this is something I care about deeply and it won't happen without the support of people like you. Starting a petition isn't something I would normally do, but I was moved to do so because every individual deserves a chance at redemption and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. By advocating for Doneale's release, we are championing the belief in rehabilitation and the power of transformation. Let's come together to show that our society values compassion, forgiveness, and the potential for positive change. Join us in the journey to pave the way for Doneale's second chance and to demonstrate that justice is not just punitive, but also restorative." I know that I'm not alone and together we can make this change happen. Please sign, share and leave a comment!
