UNISA One Semester Concept affected our assignment year marks

The Issue

UNISA has no right to consolidate two semesters in one due to COVID , and then changes rules and conditions in terms of assignment unique numbers in the process, affecting the students who already wrote assignments ( particularly those who  registered modules for the second semester which were changed. Lecturers refuse to mark assignments or MCQ marked wrongly. Eg.One student who registered 5 modules per semester end up with 10 modules. It’s an overload. Their online system is always down. No one answers queries. There is a lot of academic arrogance and administrative mess. Students are generally disadvantaged UNFAIRLY! Some students can’t even graduate due to this. Lecturers are law unto  themselves, as long as they get a salary. Some study material are not delivered . Some loaded material we have to print at our expense, yet they expect to always load new material that we print when we actually pay for material to be delivered! The management must acknowledge this mishap and give students opportunities before exams.

UNISA has to get its house in order !
