L'Afrique a connu de grands hommes et de grandes femmes, de grands talents et de grands destins. Pendant les 05 dernières décennies, il y a peu d'hommes et de femmes sur le continent dont la bravoure, l'estime et la reconnaissance ont transcendé le cercle de leur communauté ou de leur pays d'origine. De ces rares perles, existe certainement cet Homme: Samuel Eto'o Fils!
Bien que Camerounais d'origine, cet Homme, fort de valeurs de confiance en soi et d'abnégation pour l'atteinte de ses objectifs, a accompli et continue d'accomplir un destin riche d'enseignement pour plusieurs générations d'africains. Du sport où il a réussi à hisser haut des performances hallucinantes, de l'humanitaire où il s'est toujours montré préoccupé pour ceux et celles en quête de dignité, d'espoir et de survie, le plus grand buteur africain de l'histoire de la coupe d’Afrique des nations a toujours cette ambition de montrer la voie: celle de la solidarité envers la veuve et l'orphelin, celle d'apporter la chance à tous ces jeunes qui ambitionnent comme lui à rendre l'Afrique plus solidaire et humaine à travers le sport, celle de prouver à celui ou celle dans le désespoir que tout est possible.

Toute cette volonté s'est traduite à travers une pléthore de réalisations et d'engagements à travers le continent africain. La présente tribune ne pouvant tout citer, nous pouvons évoquer en autres:

- actions menées aux côtés de l’UNICEF en faveur de la jeunesse au Cameroun, notamment des sensibilisations sur les questions d’éducation, de santé, de sport, d’insertion professionnelle ; aux appuis apportés aux enfants de la rue en leur offrant un abri et de l’espoir. Le plaidoyer pour la vaccination des mères et des enfants. Toutes ces actions ont contribué à l’avancement de la cause des enfants au Cameroun.
- l'académie de football qui est fonctionnelle au Gabon et ouverte aux jeunes talents du continent
- Les dons d'infrastructures et de matériel en faveur de bien d’hôpitaux et d'écoles pour enfants au Cameroun et en dehors du Cameroun
- La fondation Samuel Eto'o Fils qui parraine de nombreuses initiatives en faveur de l'éducation et du secours à l'enfance
