Aikou, a Big Brother Naija housemate, has been designated as a Gambit, which means he can continue participating in the house but is currently not eligible to win the grand prize. This has created serious concerns among his supporters because we believe every housemate should have a fair opportunity to compete under the rules of the programme.

Aikou has a large and dedicated fanbase that is willing to support him through the official voting process. However, his Gambit status prevents his supporters from exercising their voting power in the same way as supporters of other eligible housemates.

We believe this situation deserves a review. We are asking Big Brother Naija, MultiChoice, Africa Magic and DStv to consider Ungambitting Aikou, where permitted by the rules, so that he can have a fair opportunity to compete for the grand prize.

We are not asking for Aikou to be given the prize or for any special advantage. We simply want him to have the opportunity to compete fairly and allow viewers to decide his fate through the official voting process.

We believe the Big Brother Naija competition should remain fair, transparent and free, with every eligible housemate having a genuine opportunity to compete and every viewer having confidence that their support and votes can count.

We are not asking for Aikou to be given the grand prize. We are asking for Aikou to be restored to normal competition so that, if the rules permit, viewers can vote and determine his fate through the official voting process.
