Youtube is a site that teachers use for educational purposes. Fun visuals and engaging imagery can help students who learn through visual means better understand subjects in ways a lecture could never hope to. Youtube is a tool to help students better research and simplify long subjects, parting them into digestible, understandable, easy to access aid; furthermore, many teachers include video creation as a part of their lessons as a way to help students partake in their educational process, bringing collaboration skills. Students also use the site for research purposes and having such a useful website blocked can be detrimental for both students and staff. Its is because of these reasons that I and many other students, parents, and staff at CyFair ISD believe youtube should be allowed to remain in our arsenal of website tools.
