David Brown is a distinguished American sprint runner known for his exceptional achievements as a visually impaired athlete. Specializing in sprint events, he has competed over 100–400 meter distances at both the 2012 and 2016 Paralympics, as well as the 2013 and 2015 World Championships. Brown made history by winning the 100-meter event at the World Championships in 2015 and 2016. He currently holds the world record in the 200-meter run for the T11 class and was the first totally blind athlete to run the 100 meters in under 11 seconds. In addition to his athletic prowess, Brown serves as a board member for Position 7, At Large, at the Harris County School Board, showcasing his commitment to community service.
