The issue

WorldGuesser has been a wonderful resource for our class during our wellbeing sessions at Ormiston, QLD. It is not merely a game to us; it has become an integral tool in creating a sense of calm and community among students. During these sessions, we gather with enthusiasm, not only to enjoy the fun challenges but to build meaningful connections with each other while enhancing our geography skills. THERE IS A REASON WE ARE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE NATION FOR GEOGRAPHY!!!

The power of WorldGuesser lies in its ability to serve as a stress reliever, especially before facing challenging exams. As students, we sometimes grapple with anxiety, and tools like this provide an effective outlet for our fears, helping us maintain focus and confidence. Sadly, this invaluable resource has been blocked on our school's network, stripping us of an activity that not only nurtures our educational curiosity but also supports our mental wellbeing.

To our school administration, we understand and respect the need to maintain a safe online environment. Yet, it is equally crucial to ensure that the platforms that foster education and mental health are accessible to students in need. We propose that the administration evaluate the educational benefits of WorldGuesser, perhaps allowing access during controlled times, like our scheduled wellbeing sessions, or under teacher supervision.

Unlocking WorldGuesser for use at designated times will not compromise educational focus but rather enhance it, by offering beneficial interactive learning while supporting each student's mental wellness. We urge the Ormiston school administration to consider the emotional and educational value of WorldGuesser, and to unblock it for the benefit of our entire student body.

Please sign this petition to help us bring WorldGuesser back into our classrooms, ensuring that our wellbeing sessions continue to be a productive and supportive environment for all students.
