The issue

Hello there! My name is EpikMedicMain. Like many of my fellow classmates, I find myself unable to enjoy some of my favorite activities during breaks or after school not because of a lack of interest, but because our school's restrictive policies have blocked access to both Roblox and YouTube on school laptops and across the school internet.

While I understand the need for schools to provide a focused educational environment, these platforms offer more than just entertainment. For students like me who can’t afford personal data plans or use hotspots, Roblox is a critical place to connect and unwind with friends during communal downtime. It's a social platform that allows creativity through game design, problem-solving through gameplay, and creates a virtual social experience that is absent when I'm at school.

Additionally, YouTube is not just a site for entertainment videos. It is a diverse repository of educational content where we can learn skills ranging from academic topics to epik rivals tutorials I personally love watching Elmaxo and tanqr other cool rivals and TF2 YouTubers who help me expand my knowledge and skills like cooking Jayden in roblox rivals, a friend of mine. Blocking YouTube hinders our access to a world of free learning opportunities, tutorials, and culturally enriching content which can enhance our education beyond textbooks.

The current blocking policy also prevents us from participating in more gameplay outside of school hours, including events that require active participation to progress, like ranking up in rivals which is a keen interest for me because i wanna be in gold to get into the RSC clan the leader is so cool.

I propose that the school revisits its internet policies. Here is how it can be managed responsibly: teachers and IT staff could create a whitelist of safe, educational-based channels on YouTube, in addition to allowing Roblox usage during non-class hours. This can be regulated using content restrictions and monitoring software already in place to prevent misuse.

Please help us give voice to our needs. By signing this petition, we hope to demonstrate to the school administration that these platforms can be part of a balanced lifestyle if managed properly, and can ultimately enrich our school experience. We believe that it's possible to maintain a secure and focused environment while allowing certain forms of online interaction and education.

Sign this petition to support a more balanced internet usage policy for school devices, and help bring back access to Roblox and YouTube!
