As an eager and passionate student, I find joy in exploring the unlimited, block-based worlds of Minecraft. This educational game has proven to be an excellent tool in enhancing creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in the global youth. However, the inability to access this game during school hours deprives us students of a potential avenue for unwinding and increasing productivity in between academic tasks. There are clear studies showing that taking regular short breaks can actually improve concentration and performance (American Psychological Association, 2019). A quick session of Minecraft could serve as a perfect brief distraction. Hence, we plead to the school authorities to revisit their policies and consider unlocking Minecraft.
