The FCPS administration recently blocked the Google AI Overview on the school computers. Without it we have lost an important and efficient research tool. This was a completely unnecessary and overly restrictive filter that has zero educational benefit on students and has only served to hinder our productivity. We want it to be restored IMMEDIATELY!

At school almost every website is blocked under the guise of security. for a long time the only way to actually research anything efficiently was using the Google AI overview. but now that it is blocked we have to spend much more time researching very basic things such manually piecing together answers from fragmented sources because the one tool that synthesized information has been taken away.

In fact, a basic search that I did while drafting this petition was "How to see clipboard history on ChromeOS" and the fact that I had to click on three links before I got my answer is completely ridiculous.

Over censoring the internet only slows down our education and stalls our workflow creating unneccessary frustration. It does not protect students. We demand that administration unblock the AI overview and reevaluate counterproductive filter.
