Unban RalziTech's (and his friends') Dibsteur accounts
The Issue
Dibsteur is a french-owned music distribution service that offers an easy to use UI, the ability to release Albums, EPs and Singles, the ability to store tracks for later, and a fair price for premium. However, it's not all been sunshine and rainbows.
In late 2024, my bestie exyvt had discovered the site as he is an independent artist. After losing access to MusicPRO.live due to a new ID verification system. Sure, Dibsteur has a 5 track limit for their free plan, but that did not matter at the time, so long as music could be released. Well, exyvt was able to get one song out, and a bit after submitting the next one, his account was banned with the reason of "Your account has been blocked for NaN minutes", and when you see that, it's basically a death sentence for your account and your releases, because you aren't getting it back after that.
Unfortunately, exyvt is not the only one affected by this; another one of my friends, TheMaxCrafter, also got his account banned not long after creating it for "copyright reasons", with that same "Your account has been blocked for NaN minutes" message showing on the login form.
The final nail in the coffin however was me getting banned from the platform. One day, I was sitting on the bus on the way back home, and I decide to open the Dibsteur app on my phone, and upon opening it, I saw the same dreaded "Your account has been blocked for NaN minutes" message at the bottom of the screen. I was quick to make an announcement to my Discord server about this, and to my surprise, nobody was impressed at Dibsteur's actions against me, seeing as they had also all gotten banned as well.
So why is now the time to act? - Well, me and my friends were all working on a large collab album called "460" which was stored on Dibsteur, but them deleting our accounts made us lose a lot of the tracks from the album. As well as this, not having a distributor to release it on Spotify is going to make it harder for us to release the album everywhere. Keep in mind, many of us are broke so we cannot afford something like DistroKid or TuneCore, and we are technically scraping the bottom of the barel for a distributor that we know will work.
