Jared Taylor (@jartaylor) and the website he founded, American Renaissance (@amrenaissance), have been unfairly banned from X for years. These accounts advanced cultural and political advocacy for white people without ever promoting violent or illegal action. Since they therefore never violated X's terms and conditions, their being deplatformed was one of the first blatant acts by a burgeoning censorship regime.

That regime stifled online discussion for a time. Fortunately, X and online discourse itself have since entered a new era under Elon Musk. Mr. Musk has done much to defend free speech, including lifting the bans of controversial figures. The unbanning of Mr. Taylor and American Renaissance would further validate Mr. Musk's espoused principles of free speech and foster a true marketplace of ideas.
