Noi, fedeli appartenenti alle Chiese cattolica, protestante e ortodossa, rivolgiamo un accorato appello alle rispettive autorità religiose affinché si giunga, nella carità e nella verità, alla definizione di una data comune per la celebrazione della Santa Pasqua.
È motivo di profonda sofferenza e scandalo che il Corpo Mistico di Cristo, redento dal suo sangue, celebri separatamente il mistero centrale della fede cristiana: la gloriosa Risurrezione del Signore.
Con spirito di comunione e nel desiderio di ritrovare l’unità delle origini, chiediamo che si adotti come criterio comune per il calcolo della Pasqua il calendario giuliano, in uso al tempo della Chiesa indivisa.

We, the faithful of the Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Churches, solemnly appeal to our respective religious authorities to establish, in charity and in truth, a common date for the celebration of Holy Easter.
It is a source of deep sorrow and scandal that the Mystical Body of Christ, redeemed by His blood, commemorates separately the central mystery of the Christian faith: the glorious Resurrection of the Lord.
In a spirit of communion and with a sincere desire to recover the unity of the early Church, we humbly request that the Julian calendar—used during the time of the undivided Church—be adopted as the common standard for determining the date of Easter.

Εμείς, οι πιστοί των Καθολικών, Προτεσταντικών και Ορθοδόξων Εκκλησιών, απευθύνουμε επίσημη και θερμή έκκληση προς τις αντίστοιχες εκκλησιαστικές αρχές, ώστε να καθοριστεί, εν αγάπη και αληθεία, κοινή ημερομηνία για τον εορτασμό του Αγίου Πάσχα.
Αποτελεί πηγή βαθιάς οδύνης και σκανδάλου το γεγονός ότι το Μυστικό Σώμα του Χριστού, λυτρωμένο δια του Αίματός Του, εορτάζει χωριστά το κεντρικό μυστήριο της χριστιανικής πίστεως: τη λαμπρή Ανάσταση του Κυρίου.
Με πνεύμα κοινωνίας και με ειλικρινή επιθυμία επιστροφής στην ενότητα των πρώτων αιώνων, παρακαλούμε να υιοθετηθεί το Ιουλιανό ημερολόγιο —το οποίο ίσχυε κατά την εποχή της αδιαιρέτου Εκκλησίας— ως κοινή βάση για τον καθορισμό της ημερομηνίας του Πάσχα.
