We the Amazigh have been insulted for centuries by carrying and adopting the name that foreigners have given our Amazigh ancestors in North Africa & Canarias. We are no barbarians or Berbers; we are the Imazighen, the one and only indigenous people of mainland North Africa & Canarias. We want CHANGE, but first we must change how the world is viewing and considering us and our soil North Africa & Canarias. The word “barbaric” is derived from Berber and for that reason linked to the Amazigh people. We are the only indigenous people in the world who still carry and ACCEPT to carry the name foreign name of Berber or Barbarian.
