NO ASSISTANCE FROM NEW DA ADMINISTRATION

After a seemingly successful meeting with the mayor and his managers in January, the promise of an interim agreement to be put in place before February 2022 never materialised , after several follow ups, managers are silent on the matter. 

The SPCA continues to take on the mandated municipal work using public funding, without a cent from our municipality. These funds from the public are meant to go towards animal welfare, and ensuring the prevention of cruelty to animals - the municipality needs to come to the party on this matter. 

The previous administration delayed us for 3 years, and the new administration is yet to do anything different for the SPCA. 

the public needs to be made aware of the lack of support shown from our municipality when it comes to our local SPCA!
