Music has the power.  The biggest war since World War II has broken out in Europe. The Eurovision Song Contest was founded to unite Europe. Now peace and unity of Europe is under attack because of the war in Ukraine. While Ukraine won the contest the EBU has agreed to have the UK host on their behalf.

Much has been made of various UK cities hosting but this is Ukraine's Eurovision, It should be their Party.

As one of the biggest Agricultural Nations in the world with beautiful countryside, it is important we have a different type of Eurovision.

The Glastonbury Festival and Festival Site is a huge beacon for peace and humanitarian causes.  

The annual festival is just some 6 short weeks after the official Eurovision date so much of the festival infrastructure and staging will be in place. The BBC will already be committing significant resources in Somerset so there will be a huge saving for them, and Euro winner Kalush Orchestra played at the festival this year - so there is a strong connection to the contest- that continuity of story do vital to be an Authentic Voice of Ukraine's win.

Only Ireland has hosted a Eurovision in a rural setting, its time for the contest to reflect on life, creativity and the music scene outside our cities.
