SUPPORT LIMITED COMPANY OWNERS DURING CORONAVIRUS
The Issue
As part of its package to help self-employed people during the Coronavirus outbreak, the government has chosen to ignore and penalise those who bill for their services through a limited company (unless they are PAYE.)
Many industries and sectors - including the events industry (which itself makes a £58.4bn contribution to GDP) - insist on employing staff who are set up as limited companies, and now people who service those industries are suffering through no fault of their own. This is an extraordinary and callous oversight by the government and needs to be rectified immediately. Please help us to raise the visibility of this critical part of the UK's workforce during these extremely stressful times.
