We have been approaching celeb management companies and businesses to help us spread our message. We have not yet had a response from anyone but we feel the more people we have spreading awareness about Off 2 the Moon and our mission we will get noticed eventually. Below is a copy of a letter you could send out and change the wording slightly to fit the business or person you approach with it.
To whom this may concern,
My name is Hollie Boyle and I am writing to you to request your help and support.
Last year I founded a charity in Essex called Off 2 the Moon this was after suddenly losing my partner and children’s father to Suicide.
As you probably know already Suicide and Mental Health is rather a big subject in the news right now but we as a charity need the help of companies to promote our cause. We are aiming to spread further (nationwide) with our 3 goals which are stated below.
We are fundraising for a cabin/retreat. We will purchase this and have families and individuals affected stay there free of charge for a break more information on this can be found on our website www.off2themoon.co.uk . This will be a full support service with therapists available should they want it.
We are petitioning via change.org for Matthews Law this aims to make it law that individuals affected by suicide receive support within 72 hours of an attempt (failed or otherwise). Because there is a huge lack of support, I myself had to fight for my small children to receive support for 6 months after their dad passed away. Our third goal is to build a bank of volunteers to support the affected individuals and families practically. They will be DBS checked as they will be working with children and vulnerable people.
We require companies like yours that are willing and able to discuss suicide and mental health with their clients so please put it to anyone you have that you feel will help us with our mission to change peoples lives for the better. If you can sponsor us, promote Off 2 the Moon or fundraise for us in any way we would appreciate it.
