A maximum temperature limit for working - like there is a minimum.

The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 says that an employer must maintain a reasonable temperature where you work.

The minimum temperature has been set at 16°C, but currently there is no maximum temperature limit.

This petition is calling for a maximum comfortable temperature for working as well, and this could be legally enforced. There will be obvious exceptions were a higher than standard limit will have to be set, such as in kitchens and other places of high heat etc)

Whilst most workplaces and offices (and even houses) in the UK are equipped to keep us warm with central heating, they aren’t equipped to keep us cool with air conditioning systems. 

With the current climate change as well, we need this to be addressed.
