I want to create more awareness and to pay respects for the lives lost in World War 2 by dedicating the month of September to it, which is the time the war both started and ended. An estimation of 70-85 million lives were lost, 450,900 were British soldiers and civilians.
 
I believe an overlooked two minutes of silence a year isn’t justice for all the people lost around the world at this time. I personally feel it is an insult that other minor causes or even monthly 'challenges' have gained more importance and awareness over this subject.

A lack of knowledge from younger generations has caused ignorance on the subject. I would like to rectify this by creating more awareness and to educate.
