Following the recent media coverage showing hunt leaders shooting their hunt dogs at point blank range in the head and dumping them, often while still alive, I am appalled!

They claim that these dogs have reached the end of their shelf life and that, due to being hunt dogs, are unable to be rehomed! They say they can’t be domesticated, they aren’t housetrained and they will never be able to be away from their pack!

Well I know differently- I have an ex-hunt dog here on my knee who escaped from a hunt four years ago! He lived on the streets for 16 weeks after leaving the hunt - abandoned and left to die by the ones he worked for! In some ways worse than this latest footage where they choose to shoot them in the head, while these dogs look up to them as their master!

Why does this have to be the way? How can they say this is these dogs being humanely euthanised? 

I believe we can demand more! These dogs can be rehomed and should be given a chance ! And in the rare event they can’t they should at least be euthanised hunanely and not shot in the most cruel and horrific way!
