A dying wish- allocate a member of a family to be with us when we are in hospital now.

The Issue

On Sunday one of the loveliest men I have known died in hospital alone, afraid & with no-one there to comfort and reassure him.We had no way of knowing what was going on for him. He has left a large family of children, grandchildren great grandchildren & sisters brothers.
He was born in 1935 & separated from his family very young & put in a boys hostel far from home.He was an amazing man educating himself & learning many life lessons along the way to adult hood & then joining the Navy & travelling the world. He had no family to support him & managed on his own for years. He met his lovely wife & always said this was the first time he knew love & his life of being wanted & loved started in his 20’s.His life became full of love from his family & friends & he was one of the great characters of his generation.
BUT from Friday 6/11 to Sunday8/11 he spent the last days of his life alone in hospital dying no one with him to hold his hand and reassure him. We can only imagine how this must of been. It’s cruel and against our human rights not to be with the people we have loved so much at the most scariest time of all of our  lives.

Allow one person from each family to be allocated to care for our loved one in hospital. We can alleviate the stress on NHS by doing the caring side, feeding cleaning & caring & communicating to the wider family which NHS seem not to have the time to do.We need to be there & love them until the end not to leave them alone & scared.NHS staff are PPE protected and go home every night, so can our families be. SIGN NOW to get this out there and help our loved ones either get better and come home or die with dignity with a loved one by their side.
