Hong Kong is sliding into One Country, One System. When local citizens are protesting on the street, facing arrests and horrible violent treatment from the regime, children of Carrie Lam and her cronies are probably enjoying life in UK & other Western Countries.

That is why Hongkongers so angry against the current HK regime, kids of commoners are suffering tyranny while those who impose such tyranny, their children just are enjoying freedom they don't deserve. In this case such officials has no consequences for their action against human rights, & even a safe escape route for themselves to UK in the future. Even now they may managing their families' or CCP's interests in the UK, Europe or/& rest of world, possibly conducting money laundering or other shady business. 

Beside giving a life-line to common BN(O) holders, UK can do more to punish these officials who are crushing human rights in Hong Kong.
