Kcc have implemented a hgv parking ban nearly  across the whole of the county. They have not spoken to any haulage companies about this or even the general public. They have said its for 6months but now they have lied and extended it for 18months with no consultation. They say its for road safety and to keep the roads flowing. How do laybys effect the general flow of traffic. Surely having a tired lorry driver off the road is better than them tryingnto find a legal space. Which in kent there is very few as xmas showed 4000trucks at manston in just over 24hrs.

Yes things need to be done but forcing drivers to make a choice to break the driving law to get out of kentnand possibly kill someone and park in a layby and get clamped. Hows thats safe and fair.

They say you should plan you route better. I guess they don't understand timed deliveries  distance to the drops and how long you could be waiting before they off load you.. 

This is a serious health and safety problem. That needs stopping and stopping now before people get killed because of tierd drivers.  All there trying to do is there job which is supplying us with what we want.
