As an animal lover myself this photo is of my beloved Cocker Spaniel Ollie.

After seeing a recent article on the ITV news Facebook page on 26/11/15 about "Chunky" the chihuahua cross and the suffering he underwent by four teenagers, I have decided to create this appeal for change in the law so that proper and fitting punishment will be awarded to those who commit animal cruelty of any nature. Many times animals such as this harmless dog in the article suffered needlessly at the hands of cruel owners and people who simply want to hurt a animal and simply get off scott free or handed a weak punishment like a fine. I want a change in the law where if a domestic animal or even a wild animal has suffered in a cruel, harmful and unnessary way then the punishment will be the same as it would if they were to harm another human being in a similar way. Unless the government and courts start punishing theses people properly then these heartbreaking attacks will continue. There HAS to be a change.. And it HAS TO BE NOW! No more animal cruelty!!!!
