Include the 2019/20 tax year for the Self-Employed support scheme - Coronavirus Pandemic
The Issue
Equal government financial help - Include the 2019/20 tax year for the Self-Employed/Freelancers support scheme - Covid-19 Pandemic.
The Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the Self employed support scheme - Covid-19
“ So I’ve taken steps to make this scheme deliverable, and fair: ….
- and to minimise fraud, only those who are already in self-employment, who have a tax return for 2019, will be able to apply”
There are thousands of freelancers like me that have switched from a full-time job to freelancing in 2019/20 currently have no work and will have no support.
We are calling on the UK Government to formally update their plan for the self-employed and include the 2019/20 tax year in the assessment.
