Care Workers to be paid a minimum £15 an hour. Lower paid NHS staff proportionate increase
The Issue
Care Workers, Nurses and other NHS staff are also Key Workers.
Obviously essential to the country, yet among the lowest paid. Many are on Zero hours contracts in the Care sector.
What they earn is not sufficient to live on.
They deserve to earn a decent amount, given the nature of the job they do and it's nececcesity.
They make the lives of people in their final years more bearable, they constantly have to retrain.
Their reward? A miserly amount of remuneration.
In this current crisis they are the people putting themselves at risk
I am calling for a mandatory minimum rate of pay of £15 per hour to be made Law for Careworkers and a increase in line with this for lower paid NHS staff.
Let's get enough signatures to force Parliment to debate & vote on the issue, with a view to making it Law.
