Before opening any schools across the U.K., Parliament should reconvene.

The Issue

I think that before any children return to schools across the U.K., Parliament should reconvene for 2 weeks to prove it is safe for large numbers of people to meet in one building. They should be leading by example and not be so gung-ho with children, teachers & support staff in the school environment. Schools are trying to identify ways, any ways in which they could re-open safely to enable children to return to school. However, it’s not possible to ensure the safe health of all concerned when numbers of deaths are actually higher today than when the majority of schools closed on March 20th.
If Boris Johnson and his Cabinet deem it to be the right time for schools to open their doors for learning once again, they should lead by example and return to Westminster themselves, business as usual, for two weeks prior to setting the date for ANY U.K. schools re-opening.
