Many small businesses will not survive having to increase the minimum wage of employees, and also increase the NI contributions in April. It might seem like a great idea for people on minimum wage right now, getting an increase, but for many it will mean getting made redundant. In many cases whole businesses will close.

Businesses have already seen a massive increase in their energy costs and have had to pass this on to customers, passing this new increase on will lose them customers altogether. 

Small business owners are not wealthy people, they are just hard working people struggling to make a living. They too have household bills and food to put on the table. Once the small businesses start closing, big corporations will take up the slack, and they will have a monopoly on what they charge. We will have many more empty shop units on the high streets. Empty industrial units too, and more things will be imported from abroad.

The Government need to act urgently to provide financial relief to these small businesses.  I really can't believe this is happening!
