The state of most if not all the roads and bridges in Kitui County is extremely pathetic and every time there are heavy rains, we have been losing lives in tragic ways that could be avoided if the Authorities were up to their task. Just Yesterday the 4th Of December a whole bus heading to a wedding, carrying 32 Souls drowned in Eziu River, since the bridge was in the worst architectural condition ever. 24 people are confirmed dead as at 5th December 2021. Tragically Sad, that taxpayers have to be the victims of mismanagement and poor construction standards of roads and bridges. Life is too costly to pay for the incompetence's of  those we entrust our life's and livelihoods to. We urgently need new roads engineered to world standards with the consideration of all factors and natural conditions in Kitui County. Kitui Senator Enock Kiio is on record urging Ethics And Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC) to step up  the investigation of corruption in Kitui County. We have county officials out on bond after prosecution on corruption cases from tenders being awarded to Rogue Companies. These are the characters responsible for deplorable roads across Kitui County. The County may argue that they have constructed over 300,000 KMs of road but the question is, What Quality are you giving your esteemed citizens?
