Russia's invasion of Ukraine needs to be condemned and confronted on multiple levels; economic, political and cultural. Just as the E.U., the U.N. and numerous individual countries have collectively sanctioned the despotic government in Moscow for its murderous intent by invading Ukraine, so too should the principal sporting organizations in the world.  

U.E.F.A. and F.I.F.A., the two primary soccer administrators influencing football in Russia and Europe, should immediately condemn, confront and sanction Russia and protect their sporting integrity from Vladimir Putin and his oligarchical henchmen by eliminating Russian club's and country's participation from the various international tournaments U.E.F.A. and F.I.F.A. oversee.  This should be done immediately and last indefinitely until Russia withdraws its forces from Ukraine.  

Banning ALL Russian club teams from European competition and the national team from the World Cup qualifying semifinal against Poland is imperative thereby rendering them isolated in the soccer world. While this may not cause them to reverse their course immediately it will convey the message to the Russian people that the sporting world is unified with the geo-political world in its supreme condemnation of Russia's invasion of a sovereign, independent country.
