We are petitioning The Community and Social Services Minister, Jason Nixon, and the Alberta government to implement a 10% wage increase for Community Disability Support Workers. These caregivers play a vital role in our society, providing crucial care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them overcome challenges and fully participate in our community.

However, many of these caregivers face financial hardships due to inadequate compensation. We believe another 10% wage increase is essential to ensure fair and equitable remuneration, retain skilled professionals, and elevate the quality of care and services provided.

By signing this petition, we call upon the government to earnestly consider our request and demonstrate their commitment to creating an inclusive and compassionate Alberta.

Together, let's address the continuous staffing crisis and lack of wage increase since 2014. Encouraging everyone, including Community Disability Service Workers, self-advocates, and families/guardians, to send letters to the provided contacts, including their MLA, will amplify the message and drive positive change.
