In commemoration of the seventieth anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the throne as Queen of Canada, The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal Award was announced to recognize the valuable contribution of certain individuals to the province of Alberta.

Passion, dedication and commitment to community are the driving forces behind the volunteers who receive the recognition medal.

Alberta Disability Awareness In ACTION is proud to share the exciting news with you all that Dale Cena has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for his service to the province of Alberta.

Achieving this award would not have been possible without the support of each and everyone of you today. This award is dedicated to all of the frontline workers in the community and disability sector for your hard work and passion for making a difference coming together as a collective.

We wish to extend our gratitude to
Honourable Jeremy Nixon, Minister of Seniors and Community and Social Services, and to Honourable Jason Copping Minister of Health who presented the awards.

It is a privilege to be apart of a vibrant sector says Dale Cena, and I remain committed to building and strengthening our community for all.

Congratulations Dale Cena, you deserve it!
