Pet Friendly Ubers & Olas!

Pet Friendly Ubers & Olas!
Why this petition matters
Starting a petition right here on behalf of all pet parents, rescuers & anyone who has ever tried getting a cab with a pet!
As someone that doesn’t have a car and relies on cabs a lot I really struggle with taking Mars anywhere in a cab! With Ubers & Olas most drivers will make you cancel once you ask if they are ok with a dog and then there’s the whole cancellation fee, rebooking & saying the same things to 4-5 drivers and begging them to take you. It’s usually the same with Kalli Peelis too 3-4 will say no and finally someone will agree if you’re willing to pay more. And this is all after assuring them that I have a sheet to cover the seat, the dog is well behaved and that they won’t have any issues.
Yes there are a few pet friendly cab services but they are not as accessible and don’t have national reach like Ola & Uber. So this is to find an affordable solution in our existing cab companies and not for a special pet taxi service.
I use cabs all the time & I love the convenience of booking Ubers & Olas, paying online and I would love to use them with Mars too. I think it will be easier for your drivers & customers if we can have a pet friendly category or an option you can select that will show you cabs that have already approved travelling with pets so that its seamless for everyone. They can charge extra for this and Im sure people will not have a problem with paying if it means that the driver can’t say no after you have booked and been matched. You have separate categories for full day rentals and inter-city travel already so Im sure you can add a pet friendly category as well. This already exists in other countries so I don’t think it should be hard to start it here as well.
If you’re someone that has had a similar experience and agrees with this please sign this petition & share it. Feel free to share your stories and struggles with the same or any ideas on what will work. I have seen many people struggle in emergencies where no one is willing to take them with their pets and I really hope we can change that.
