The 2016 UBCSUO elections have had several problems this year, including:

• Missing names on ballots
• Multiple ballots being accidentally handed out
• Candidates in and around the voting station
• No privacy while voting

These are serious problems, and there has been no response from the UBCSUO. Therefore, we are requesting the UBCSUO redo the elections to ensure they are fair and legitimate.

We request:

• Names listed alphabetically on the ballot
• Elections taking place indoors where they can be monitored more closely
• No candidates present in or around the voting room

If this is not addressed, the people elected this year will have be illegitimate and will not represent the students of UBCO fairly. This is a problem that can easily be fixed, and there's no reason not to. The UBCSUO has held fair and legitimate elections in the past, and had a system that worked. We are requesting a return to this.
