I sent a letter about this to Sir David Bell, the University of Sunderland's Vice Chancellor. 

Sir David Bell replied today and in relation to this issue has said:

"I appreciate that this is a very stressful time for everyone involved. That is particularly true for students like yourself who are still in student accommodation in Sunderland.

Everything is moving very fast and we are having to respond to a whole range of issues, often coming at as all at the same time. So, as you point out in your letter, we have already taken a position regarding refunds for those in accommodation directly owned and managed by the University. The wider situation is more complicated but we will be looking at this matter urgently as the working week begins tomorrow."

**We will have to wait and see what the University decides to do, but it is positive they will be looking at this. And hopefully a solution can be found. Thank you to every one who has signed so far! Take care, Hannah**
