The last US aircraft has left Afghanistan with US citizens, allies and gear left behind. What comes next will be our nation's leadership class covering their collective asses by casting blame on everyone but themselves. Don't let them do it!
Don't let team-Biden & the media scapegoat the previous 3 admins or commanders on the ground for this disaster of a withdrawal from Afghanistan. Don't let them conflate the war with the way we left it; two different concerns. Don't let them blame American citizens & our allies for being trapped there now. Don't let them memory-hole this debacle with the 24 news cycle & its many distractions.
From closing Bagram and sending the bulk of the remaining troops home before the civilians got out, to passing on the Taliban's offer to stay clear of Kabul and failing to adequately secure the airport, so many poor choices were made. Poor choices that have little to do with the way in which 20 plus years of war were waged and everything to do with Biden's prioritization of lowering troop numbers to garner political points and a photo op, rather than leaving with honor and protecting our citizens and friends.
