In August of 2014, the skeletal remains of three infants were found inside a Blackstone, Massachusetts home.

In addition to the infants, four other children aged 13 to six months were found to be living in the filthy, vermin-infested home shared by their mother Erika Murray and father Raymond Rivera.

The two youngest children, a three-year old and a six-month old, were found covered in maggots and feces, neglected and malnourished, and with no record of their birth.

The mother in this case, Erika Murray, is currently incarcerated pending charges of fetal death concealment, witness intimidation, and permitting substantial injury to a child.

What about the father?

The father has been charged with allegedly growing marijuana in the basement.

By not charging the live-in father of these children with these horrific acts of neglect and abuse, we are fostering the notion that children are solely the responsibility of the mother and allowing this man to walk free from the punishment of his crimes.

This man should be in prison.
