Pitbulls are loving caring companions who have the worst reputation from mass media and bad owners during history. It is almost impossible to find a place to live where pitbulls are not on the “breed restrictions”. It is entirely frustrating that these precious animals are discriminated to the point where they are not allowed in almost any kind of home. If you are looking for an apartment a pitbull will never be allowed, do you know what this means? More and more pitbull baby’s are being left in the shelter because there is no where left for them to live! Owners are forced to abandon them in the shelters where they are entirely overcrowded with other pitbulls who struggle to get adopted because they aren’t allowed in many homes, many many pitbulls are being euthanized everyday because of overcrowding when they are not being adopted. The only way you can have a pitbull as a pet is if you own your own home and the majority of citizens do not. Many people rent and this discrimination is so unfair to the poor baby’s who just want a safe and secure home, it is also unfair to the owners who already have a pitbull as a pet and are looking for a new home but struggle to find anywhere that accepts their pet. We need to make a humane change for these poor animals and need to get rid of the breed restriction policy!
