BREAKING NEWS!
Yesterday, 57 Members of Congress sent a letter to the CDC with a bipartisan call to reevaluate the dog importation ban. This is a major a major accomplishment in the effort to overturn the recent rule imposed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that imposed a blanket ban on the importation of dogs from 113 countries.
“I want to personally thank all our adopters and supporters, and dog loving Americans who reached out to their elected representatives to speak out against the CDC’s decision,” says Jeffrey Beri, Founder and President of NDLB. “We are extremely grateful to the Representatives who listened to their constituents and signed their name to this letter in support of a more deliberate and narrowly tailored approach that both protects public health and allows international animal welfare organizations, such as NDLB, to continue their lifesaving work.”
